Advanced Dead Tank Structure for Enhanced Safety and Reliability

The core advantage of the Tank Type SF6 Breaker is its grounded tank design. All high-voltage components are installed inside a sealed metal enclosure, reducing external insulation requirements and improving protection against environmental influences such as dust, humidity, salt fog, and temperature variations.

The SF6 gas functions as both insulation medium and arc-quenching medium. During circuit interruption, the puffer operating mechanism generates a high-pressure gas flow through the nozzle, rapidly cooling the arc and restoring dielectric strength after current zero crossing. This enables reliable interruption of high short-circuit currents while maintaining low contact erosion.

Integrated current transformers can be installed directly inside the tank, reducing external wiring complexity and minimizing substation footprint. Combined with a motor-charged spring operating mechanism, the breaker provides fast and stable opening and closing operations with reduced maintenance requirements.
